Staff Attorney
Anne Meyer joined Project Guardianship in 2016, managing legal matters pertaining to a client’s guardianship as well as litigating on collateral issues relating to a client’s housing and/or benefits. Prior to Project Guardianship, Anne worked at Cohen & Cohen Law Group, PC, a small, private law firm in Queens, New York. She both worked with clients to create estate plans tailored to their personal needs, and helped clients get guardianship of their loved ones who had lost the ability to care for themselves and/or manage their finances without assistance.
Anne also interned and then worked for the Main Street Legal Services Inc. Elder Law Clinic, providing pro bono legal services to indigent clients with regards to guardianship matters as both attorney for the petitioner/guardian and as court evaluator. During her time as a member of the Elder Law Clinic, Anne had an article entitled “’Ableism’ in the Legal Sphere: An Analysis of MHL Article 81 Adult Guardianship of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities,” published in the Summer 2014 edition of the New York State Bar Association Elder Law and Special Needs Journal.
Anne earned an Master's in English from The College of Saint Rose and a JD from CUNY School of Law.
