Planned Giving and Legacy Gifts

Gifts can leave a legacy. Planned Giving to Project Guardianship benefits you, your loved ones, and supports individuals under our care and our advocacy efforts for those who have no one else to provide for them in their time of need.

You can put your assets to wonderful use through a donation made with real property (real estate), or securities such as stocks, bond and mutual funds through many vehicles such as a will, revocable living trust, IRA, 401(k)/403(b), retirement plan, life insurance policy, annuity, or charitable gift annuity.

We strongly advise that you consult with your legal or tax advisor for professional advice to make sure that whatever legacy you leave will be the right one for you and your heirs.

Bequests and Beneficiary Designations

Most assets will probably pass to your intended beneficiaries through the terms of your will and other estate planning instruments. Naming a charitable organization to benefit from your estate can be a simple process. Although most assets will probably pass to your beneficiaries in your will, you must typically designate specific beneficiaries for assets in vehicles such as an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), retirement plan, life insurance policy, or annuity, which are not controlled by the terms of your will.

You can donate to a charitable organization such as Project Guardianship, if we are named as a beneficiary of the policy or plan, often with tax advantages to you the donor.

We strongly advise that you consult with your legal or tax advisor for professional advice to make sure that whatever legacy you leave will be the right one for you and your heirs.

Gifting Stocks and Securities

Gifting stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are popular assets for charitable giving can support Project Guardianship’s mission and may have the potential of providing certain tax advantages to you the donor. You can support our mission to assist in the lives of those struggling to live their every day without the care of a family member or friend while realizing potential and important benefits for yourself.

As with any donation or transfer of assets, we advise that you please consult with your legal or tax advisor for professional advice.
