Jean-Edgard Nguessan

Case Manager

Jean-Edgard Nguessan joined Project Guardianship in April 2020 as case manager. He received his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the College of Staten Island (CUNY), and his strong interest in public health led him to obtain a Master's in science in global urban health from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg, Germany. 

Jean-Edgard has six years of experience in case management. While studying at CUNY, he worked at the Center for Human Development and Family Services assisting foster kids in integrating into their communities upon their permanent placements. After his graduation, Jean-Edgard worked as a case manager for Village Care providing social services and health education to patients with acute and chronic health issues. Jean-Edgard holds many certifications in public health, including from Harvard University, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of Bath (UK), NYS Department of Health, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Jean-Edgard is an active Emergency Dispatcher volunteer with the American Red Cross and is also a current volunteer with Public Health Solutions of NYC as part of their Mobile Market Team.
