Rose Gousse joined the Project Guardianship in 2018. Rose received her Bachelor’s degree in social work from York College-NY where she completed her field work in the Substance Abuse Intervention Division at Riker’s Island Correctional Facility.

After graduation, she worked for Community Mediation Services, providing preventive social services to families at risk of relinquishing custody of their children to foster care and Georgia’s Place (a supportive housing program for those with mental illness and/or substance abuse conditions). These experiences motivated her to augment her education by earning her Master’s degree in social work at Columbia University with a concentration in contemporary social issues in order to better serve the client’s in her care.
